Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 22, 2026 (during beta; see Section 10)

This Privacy Policy describes how Heidi Denney, doing business as Ripe Planner ("we," "us," "our"), collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Ripe Planner application (the "Service"), including during the beta period.

1. What We Collect

Account information. When you create an account: your name, email address, and password (password is handled by our authentication provider, Supabase; we never see or store it in plain text).

Content you create. Keywords, recipe/content records, tags, categories, notes, planner schedules, and other data you enter into the Service ("Your Content"). This is business/content data you create; it belongs to you (see the Beta Tester Agreement, Section 4).

Settings and preferences. App configuration you choose (status labels, colors, column order, etc.).

External calendar feeds (optional). If you connect a Google/Outlook calendar feed URL, we fetch it server-side (via our own proxy) to display your events in the planner. We do not store the feed's contents beyond a short-lived cache, and we never access your calendar account directly, only the read-only feed URL you provide.

Usage data. Basic operational data needed to run the app. For example, when a lookup feature is used, we track which account used it and how many times, to enforce usage limits and prevent abuse. We use Google Analytics on the app and our public marketing/blog pages to understand aggregate traffic patterns (e.g., which pages get visited, how people navigate the site). This is standard web analytics, not personalized ad targeting — we've turned off Google's ad-personalization data-sharing setting for our account. We do not sell any data to data brokers.

Feedback you submit. If you use the in-app feedback tab, we store your message along with your account email and which screen you were on, so we can review and act on it.

2. How We Use It

We do not use Your Content (keywords, recipes, notes, etc.) to train any AI model, first-party or third-party, and we do not sell your personal information. As the operator of the Service we have database access for support, debugging, and legal compliance, but we do not read or use any individual account's Content for our own product research or content decisions. When we look at trends to inform what we build or publish ourselves, that comes from the same external, aggregate search-data sources (e.g., DataForSEO) available inside the app to every user, not from your account.

3. Who We Share Data With

We use a small number of service providers ("subprocessors") to operate Ripe Planner:

ProviderPurposeWhat they see
SupabaseDatabase, authentication, hosting, edge functionsAccount data and Your Content (encrypted at rest and in transit)
DataForSEOSearch volume, competition, and SERP data for keyword lookupsThe keyword text you look up, not your name, email, or account identity
Google AnalyticsAggregate site traffic and usage analyticsPages visited, general device/browser info, and approximate location (city-level, derived from IP) — not tied to your account identity

We do not share your personal information with anyone else, except:

4. Where Your Data Is Stored

Your data is hosted on Supabase's infrastructure in the United States. If you are located outside that region (including the EEA or UK), your data will be transferred to and processed in that region.

5. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

EEA/UK users: these correspond to your rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at ripeplanner@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California residents: you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA to know, delete, and correct your personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data and Your Content for as long as your account is active. If your beta access ends and you don't choose to continue or export/delete (see the Beta Tester Agreement, Section 7), we will retain data for 90 days before deletion.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit and at rest, access controls) to protect your data, provided through our hosting infrastructure (Supabase). However, no system is 100% secure, and, consistent with the beta nature of the Service described in the Beta Tester Agreement, we cannot guarantee against all data loss or unauthorized access.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser local storage to keep you signed in and cache app data for performance. We use Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies to distinguish visitors and measure site usage; see Section 1 for what it collects. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels beyond that. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser opt-out add-on, or by using a browser/extension that blocks analytics scripts.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service develops. We'll notify you of material changes (e.g., by email or in-app notice). The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
